In 2023, the owner of Hôtel Martinez Cannes appointed Spotlight Communications to position a curated exhibition of Damien Hirst artwork. The strategy was to leverage the Hôtel Martinez brand, not only connecting with hotel guests, but other high net worth visitors to Cannes, with this pivotal event as the communications platform.
This was an opportunity to support Hôtel Martinez Cannes in highlighting its point of difference on La Croisette. The Cannes Film Festival was an important moment in time to do so, but the collaboration was also an important tactic in reinforcing Hôtel Martinez’s position as an influential lifestyle brand on the Riviera.
Spotlight’s campaign included a partnership with both Christie’s and Sotheby’s in London and Monte Carlo to highlight this curated Damien Hirst collection to their clientele. The year-long show was also a key media angle in targeting relevant international luxury lifestyle and travel outlets, as well as the art world.
