The Bruntsfield, the former home of a renowned doctor and botanist, overlooks Edinburgh’s Bruntsfield Links Park and opened its doors in January 2022 as a newly independent boutique townhouse hotel welcoming guests with true Scottish hospitality.

In 2022, Spotlight Communications was retained to deliver an integrated local, national and international campaign with a brief to ensure The Bruntsfield’s commitment to true Scottish hospitality and community spirit in Edinburgh was specifically highlighted.
Spotlight created a communications strategy for the relaunch and refurbishment of the hotel and its new restaurant The Neighbourhood. Spotlight also partnered with Edinburgh-based PR agency Four Marketing for a local media launch.
Spotlight’s pre-opening and launch campaign ensured targeted connections with local, Scottish and UK publications and lifestyle content creators.
Spotlight attracted 35 local media, influencers and businesses to attend the opening party of the hotel’s new restaurant The Neighbourhood – Kitchen, Garden & Bar, resulting in approximately 20 pieces of coverage including a Facebook Live feed from Edinburgh Live and features in The Scotsman, Edinburgh Evening News and many more.
